Kara Charron, CAT©, BSc (Kin)

Kara was born and raised in North Bay and is a graduate of Ecole Secondaire Algonquin. She went on to pursue her studies at the University of Ottawa where she graduated with a BSc in Activite Physique (Human Kinetics) in 2000 and in 2003 with a Diploma in Sports Injury Management from Sheridan College.

Kara spent the last 18 years working as Head Athletic Therapist at Honda of Canada Mfg working with the Industrial Athlete in the areas of injury prevention, education and treatment as well as return to work and ergonomic assessments. She has also worked with various levels of athletics ranging from High School to University, to recreational soccer and curling leagues as well as the Northern Football Conference.

She has continued her studies and stayed current in the areas of: manual therapy, soft tissue release, orthopaedic assessments, modality use, taping and bracing techniques, exercise prescription, emergency care and mental health awareness.

Kara is trained in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic injuries to your bones, muscles and joints. Her goal is to rapidly return you to work or play; no matter your level of activity or age. She will also be our Community Programs Coordinator and is looking forward to being a part of developing programs based on the needs of our community.

In her spare time, Kara can be found boating, working out, snowshoeing, going to concerts, watching sports or cruising with her husband in their 1969 Super Bee.
